I can't wiat for The Road to be released, I was a little disappointed in 2012, but hey they can't all be great!
My grandfathers family were a cornicopia of Americana. The first Native American that I have found was a man named Oconostota, whose father may have been Moytoy according to Wikipedia, but according to family traditions and a book by Narcissa Chisholm Owens, his father as an Englishman, a minister named John Beamer, in any case, he was the principal war chief of the Cherokees during the Revolutionary War, and his picture was painted by Sir Joshua Reynolds, on a visit to England.

My grandmother was part of the full blood group of Cherokees. My grandfather was part of the mixed blood Cherokee. He was only a month or so old when the 1906 rolls closed out. His ancestors were included the Chisholms, and the Rogers families. So, he was related to Will Rogers, and also to Talahina Rogers, wife or girl friend of Sam Houston. My grandfather was very shy, had dark black hair til just a few years before he died, he was in his 80's. He was, I think a good man. He and my grandmother divorced in 1948, the year before I was born. They had four children, two girls and two boys. My mother was the oldest. She was born in 1929, and only weighed 2 1/2 pounds. She was called a miracle baby. She slept for the first few months of her life in a dresser drawer.

My grandmothers family were related to the Sam Starr family. She heard stories from her dad that Belle and Sam STarr would visit them at their home, and that sometimes they would come and bury stuff in the barn. For years, my great grandfather, and my grandmother, and even my mom and her siblings would go back to the original homestead and dig for the lost Belle Star Treasure! Of course they never found anything, but there's another story of treasure that I can tell.

Me

I am composed of a lot of different elements, among them are not only the European background, but also the Native American line. I am Cherokee, officially a card carrying member of the Western Band of Cherokee, and am very proud of that. My moms dad was one of the last original enrollees in 1906, and my grandmother was just missed the enrollment.

I have a BA from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Tahlequah as and is the Capitol of the Western Band. I attended Purdue and went back to NSU for a Masters in History, and then on to Univeristy of Arkansas to work on a doctorate, never completed!

My interest in Native American jewelry is an outgrowth of my heritage and my education. I have always understood that Silver is a spiritual metal to the Native Americans, and I believe that.

I am in the process of writing a novel, have been for about 4 or 5 years, and I'm hoping it will bring people together, but in the process will probably also tear some away. I will try to write on a regular basis.

FYI TheKeepersSecrets on eBay is one and the same as Sterling Keeper on BISI which also owns These Old Things on Ecrater!
Keeper Sterling is not the same as Sterling Keeper! LOL
If we ocassinally miss the target its not because we don't try! Sterling Keeper tries and tries hard, so please don't give up on us if you think we've missed the target just let us know and we'll make it right!
Please don't confuse Sterling Financial Corp WA with Sterling Keeper. We deal in absolutely totally different products and have a totally different reputation!
I also like Mexican Silver Jewelry and all of the different makers and designers thru the years that comprise it! Many times, I have found a sterling keeper and made it a treasure!
So one day one of my friends said let's get vintage and I said sure why not and so 3 of us opened up an antique / junk store in a little town in West Virginia. And many many years later sterling keeper came out of that!
Don't you just love to look at the beautiful Morning Glory Antiques & Jewelry site just to get a feel for some of the most beautiful costume stuff ever! I myself like sterling keeper stuff!
Indian jewelry or as its sometimes called Native American Jewelry especially by the Navajo the Zuni or Hopi is way desirable and is certainly a sterling keeper!
Native American Jewelry is just some of the best jewelry around and most if not all of it is handmade and a sterling keeper!
American Indian Jewelry is just so well made and desirable and comes in a variety of styles and most of it is just simply meant as a sterling keeper!
Never been much into sterling silver charms, but I have found some that I do like, there are some that just sterling keeper!
There's nothing more beautiful than exquisite sterling jewelry! Please checkout Sterling keeper.
I just love Indian Turquoise Jewelry don't you?
I've often wanted to go to a foreign tribal bazaar and just buy some tribal jewelry just for the fun of it! Please checkout Sterling Keeper!

Hecho en Mexico translates as Made in Mexico, Plata means Sterling, and Alpaca means Silverplated!
I try to pick up Miriam Haskell jewelry, James Avery, Coro, Corocraft, Trifari, Crown Trifari, Eisenberg, Katz, Fredrick Davis, William Spratling, Mario de Taxco, , and anyother interesting and collectible jewelry. Please checkout my website at Sterling Keeper.
Don't anyone have any illusion jewels are for everyone and have been since gold plating and silver plating became popular.

I try very hard to find antique & vintage sterling silver jewelry and even harder to clean it, research it, photograph it, describe it and ship it once its sold. I guess all other dealers are like that too!
The best place that I've found online for STerling Silver marks is at Online Encyclopedia of Silver Marks, Hallmarks & Makers' Marks. Its just a great site to go to!
I truly love Native Indian Made items, especially the jewelry, and the baskets and the pottery!
I do list items ocassionally on Craigslist especially in the Houston, Tx area!
I do have some things on The Find!
I've thought about having a shop on Yahoo or Amazon but so far I haven't done anything about it. I just have the shops at ECRATER and BISI!
I strive to offer my customers affordable vintage jewelry!
I remember as kid, living in New Mexico going to a Navajo shop near one of the reservations and just being awestruck by some of the jewelry they had made!
Native American Jewelry is unique and wonderful especially the silver pieces. The Cherokee considered silver to be a spiritual metal!
Hopefully, I will be able to eventually add some authentic cherokee jewelry to my shop!
While I am a registered Cherokee, I feel a part of all tribes!
I've always wanted to have my own southwest silver gallery and now I do!
A southwest affinity for handmade Native American jewelry has always been a part of what I'm about. My grandmother was full blood Cherokee and taught me to be proud of my Indian Heritage.
I think I'm getting this now, not everything is about being on ebay or amazon or another big name site, sometimes its about being on a little spot like mine Sterling Keeper at BISI!
Life is just a ruby lane filled with jewels and lots of goodies!
